Tokyo Disney Sea

Today was freezing cold, wet and miserable. We went to the Disney Sea theme park and spent about 99% of the time on the indoor attractions. We still had a good time and Emma was extremely happy as she got to see Princess Ariel which was "the thing" she had been talking about since she found out she was going to Disney Sea.

We picked up a bus from the hotel which took us straight there. Saw a few really cute "Mickey Mouse" Buses, with windows in the shape of Mickey Mouses head. Most of the photos you will see in flickr today are from the little Mermaid section. This was Emma's favourite section, and thankfully completely indoors and heated. We did the "Mermaid Lagoon" theatre twice.

All the theatre attractions are spoken in Japanese, but strangely enough if there is any music its sung in English. So we could understand at least half of what was going on, and they provide a subtitle machine for the rest (looks like a portable DVD player). Emma didn't care either way, she was totally engrossed by the whole experience.

Emma had here photo taken with Ariel, and unfortunately we had to queue for 25 minutes in the rain, but it was worth it, she couldn't believe how lucky she was to be talking with the "real" Ariel.

We went on a few other rides, the 3D technology they have at the Arabian Cost section in the "Magic Lamp" theatre was just stunning. You still had to wear special glasses, but not those horrid red/green ones. These just looked like sunglasses.

BTW, Happy Birthday Allison !

Hi guys,

Sorry the weather didn't cooperate better for Disney sea but I am glad Emma enjoyed meeting Ariel. Josh just finished watching it on Sunday. Thanks for the birthday wishes.

BTW Scott, I think I have finally found someone who takes more pictures than I do - ha ha :)

Cheers,
Alison, Barry and Joshua
