BIC Camera

We headed out for dinner, eventually found somewhere to eat. Kyoto station is very confusing, there are 4 different train companies in the one spot, plus a number of department stores.

The meal was nice, however there was a bit of confusion on Paul's meal, and they ended up accidently serving him Sue's dinner, which he ate. Sue was not impressed ! Normally Sue doesn't eat a lot, however this time she was quite hungry and really looking forward to what she had ordered.

After dinner Sue, Sharon and Emma headed back to the hotel, whilst Paul and I hunted for "BIC Camera" which is just outside the station. Its much like Yodabashi camera in Tokyo, ie freaking massive.

I ended up buying a Canon G9 camera. I wanted something smaller than my DSLR, but with all the manual controls I like. Its not really an SLR replacement, as there are some low depth of field shots you can do with the DSLR that will be impossible on this, but as a walk around snap camera it should be perfect.

We got chased out of the store, they close at 9, but we were still wandering at 9.30.  I realised why there was basically no one around after some of the lights started going off.

For pics of BIC Camera, check out the link to the pictures on the previous post.
